Welcome . . .
Herbalism is, and has
always been, a people's medicine. In a pinch, to save a life, to know
what bulb to dig out of the garden or what plant to retrieve from the
larder is a precious wisdom that is the birth right of every human
being. It is a practical knowledge paired with a loving intimacy that
is conveyed from one generation to the next.
Herbalism
encompasses a nurturing attitude towards Earth and it's life, it is an
apprenticeship of living based on respect for the diversity of our
plant friends, cooperation with and between plants and people,
generosity of knowledge between people, and maintaining the traditions
of passing on knowledge to the next generation so that Herbalism may
always remain a "Medicine of the People."
We hope you will enjoy this growing section on traditional herbal uses, and that the information is fun as well as practical .
